HOW TO CARE & MAINTAIN YOUR HUMAN HAIR LACE & CUSTOM WIG

HOW TO WASH YOUR HUMAN HAIR LACE AND CUSTOM WIG

Start by completely combining out the hair on your lace wig.  With cool water, wet the hair.  Next, using downward strokes begin to work your sulfate-free shampoo throughout the hair.  Do not rub the hair, continue washing the hair with downward strokes until desired level of cleanliness.  Thoroughly rinse shampoo out of the hair.  Distribute a moisturizing deep conditioner generously throughout the hair.  Leave conditioner on for at least 1 hour or more.  With cool water thoroughly rinse all conditioner from the hair.  Towel blot the hair to remove excess water and air dry the hair.  After rinsing your conditioner from the hair and blotting towel dry, apply a leave in conditioner and or shine serum.  We recommend a sulfate-free shampoo and deep moisturizing conditioners.

HOW TO REMOVE YOUR LACE WIG

If you applied your wig with glue, pull your lace wig in a ponytail and apply a solvent in the glued areas.  Let the solvent do the work to release your unit, do not force the release of the glue.  Use more solvent as needed.  Once you have removed your lace wig, remove any adhesive residue from the lace.  Shampoo and condition your unit (see instructions below), re-apply glue as needed and style.

HOW TO SEAL THE KNOTS ( REDUCE SHEDDING )

We highly recommend you seal knots after each wash.  Sealing the knots on your lace unit is a preventative measure taken to stop excessive shedding of the hair on your unit, caused by styling, washing, and glue removal.

Start by turning your lace wig inside out.  Then place the wig on a mannequin.  Avoid spraying the sealer on the hair.  Tuck the exposed hair under the cap or try wrapping the hair with a plastic wrap.  Smooth out the cap so that it lays smoothly on the mannequin head for even distribution of the knot sealer.  Hold the knot sealer approximately 6 to 8 inches away and begin spraying an even mist over the entire cap where the hair is ventilated.  Always pay special attention to sealing the knots around the entire perimeter.  These areas experience the highest amount of aggravation from glue/tape removal.
